Rebecca was editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Art from July 2014 until November 2019








Rebecca Anne Proctor was editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Art for five years during which time she grew the magazine to global recognition for its ground-breaking coverage of the Middle Eastern and African cultural scenes. In March 2018, she placed the first African artist ever on a cover of Bazaar Art featuring a work by Nigerian Modupeola Fadugba. Under her direction the magazine had exclusive covers by some of the Middle East and Africa's most esteemed living and deceased artists including, Shirin Neshat, Dia Azzawi, Farida Lashai, Lalla Essaydi, Hayv Kahraman, Omar Victor Diop, Dana Awartani, Muhannad Shono and Baya, one of Algeria's greatest artists of the 20th century, among others.
